I just got off the phone with PAYPAL and wasn't happy. I wanted to withdraw my funds and close my account because it's VERY difficult to get a hold of someone to talk with. It's all automated and routed in circles. After hitting 00000 several times I finally got someone on the phone and was informed that I couldn't get my funds due to security issues. I had to go through XOOM. What a scam. Not only wasn't I able to get my funds from PAYPAL I had to go through XOOM and was charged a service fee for doing so. What a scam. As soon as I get my funds I'll be using Zelle. Anyone else having issues with PAYPAL or am I an isolated case. Oh and by the way, speaking of security issues PAYPAL allowed someone to hack my PAYPAL account. That person changed the name, address, phone # and requested my funds of $285.00 be sent to them, which PAYPAL did. That was in October of last year and it took 2 months of calls and emails and a complaint filed with the BBB to get my funds returned. But guess what. PAYPAL charged me a fee for doing so. Very angry. I would recommend that everyone stay far far away from PAYPAL.

I don't use Paypal much at all anymore, but my bank recommends Zelle. I'm sure the connection between them and Zelle, but the one time I used it, I liked it better than Paypal.

Why jump through hoops and pay a fee to withdraw money from PayPal?  There's so many places that take PayPal these days, I would have just spent it.

I don't know if I would join PayPal under today's rules.  I've never had a problem, but I've been using it for over 20 years, so I never attached a bank account to it.  I just use it with my Visa card, so I've got that extra layer of protection, and I hardly ever carry a balance there.

Yup.  PayPal is NO Pal at all.  Everything the Poster said about the scams and the service are all true.  I have a business account with them and have still had issues in the past. Especially the fees. I also don’t use it as much anymore and rarely hold a balance over $50 there. My bank and Zelle are great and work just as well and one day will be accepted everywhere much like PayPal.  BYE PayPal.  We are tired of your BS and will be moving on little by little til you are as significant as the breeze that blows by.

Interesting. Back when Paypal was x.com, Xoom was a separate company that was a webhosting service.

I have never been charged a fee to withdraw money from my Paypal account to my bank account. I think there is a fee if you withdraw less than $100 at a time, but I just wait until I have more than that.
