Please give me something to click on to get ad-free TCDB.
I will gladly pay to see Best Buy go away.

Wouldn't Premium be what you were looking for?

Is this the only way to get rid of it? It’s ridiculous that I have had to close this pop up fifteen times in a five minute span.

Am I the only one who refuses to be annoyed into paying for an ad-free experience? I'm legitimately starting to wonder if it's a deliberate strategy to coax more and more members into paying the monthly fee.

Considering this is a free DB that provides so much to so many people, the bills got to get paid somehow. While not deliberate, there are different strategies to use to mitigate the ads (setting, extensions, etc.). When they become too obtrusive Admin has been able to help on the back end.

I'm not sure if it is best buy or another ad but there is one that pops up on the bottom of the screen that takes up almost a 3rd of the screen when it comes up. Makes it near impossible to use the site.
That aside, supporting something that we all love and use isn't a bad thing.

Just saying, where were we before the business model took hold? Yes, the way I engage in this hobby has revolutionary changed since I learned of the database. But what if the site gets nuked, what then? Would I go back to just casually picking up stuff that I come across in my everyday life, sorting an organizing the way I'd done from before? My spending on supplies and new products would drop exponentially for sure.
Yes, this is a great community and am thrilled with what I've been able to acquire and trade away thanks to all of this. But I will die on this hill of not paying a monthly fee for the convenience of not being annoyed by ads that disrupt the experience.

Ads in the top banner and in the side margin are not a problem. But pop-ups covering the main page area are unacceptable.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Paying the $5.00/month is WELL WORTH IT and some of Us pay even more. Each Year since I joined back in 2014, this Trading Card Community has gotten better and better!! You get the most out of ANYTHING by what You put into IT. Some do loads of scans, some put in Data & Price Information, some contribute much by engaging actively in trading and Some of Us pay a monthly amount to keep this Web Site & Community going strong . . .
Yours in The Hobby - Felix
