Please remember that no one is being asked to change their collecting habits to provide images for the site.
If someone has a card on top of a cello pack from ages ago where the site needs an image, that person is not being asked to bust their pack to provide the image for the site, nor are they being asked to scan it through the packaging.
The same holds true to the newer items that are packaged certain ways. The card can't be seen properly in a scan through the way you are storing your card? Please don't provide an image for the site.
Personally, I get it. I have several of the Topps Archives Signature Series cards in the one touches with the sticker sealing it shut. I am not planning on opening them, and my scanner is not a high end model that does depth. I have not attempted to submit those ridiculously out-of-focus scans. I would love for the site to have images for these cards, but I'm not the one with the ability to add them, therefore, I won't.
In my opinion, the priority of the site's images is secondary when it comes to all of our own personal collecting preferences.
