Pay hundreds if not thousands of dollars for Jerry Koosman's rookie card. This must drive Cubs team collector's insane. Any other's out there where a player(s) rookie is grossly overpriced for them by association? I mean I don't think many Royals or Yankees collectors are looking to drop a grand on U.L. Washington's or Mickey Klutts' rookies.

I know Dan (vrooomed) had to be pretty patient to find a 1963 Topps John Hernstein for his Phillies collection.
I thought he made a post about it when he finally snagged one, but I can't find it now (maybe he didn't).

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

I think I just made mention of it in my user list for most wanted Phillies cards.
At least in my case, I also collect HOFers, so it's not as tough to take that.
Although, I'm curious, why would Cubs collectors care about the Koosman rookie card?

For me as an Orioles collector it was the Bob-Floyd Rookie card.

Sorry I used the Cubs reference without context. I just always relate him to the Cubs as he spent most of his career there. I should have clarified if there is anyone out there that PCs Koosman.

Koosman was never with the Cubs.
12 years with the Mets.
3 years with each the Twins and White Sox.
2 years with the Phillies.
