In dealing with my excess cards I have decided to create 2 baseball frankensets. I have encountered them on various blogs I frequent. There is usually a theme related to the set. My 2 themes will be empty seats in the background (any team/player) and the team I follow in baseball. The Giants.

I was wondering if anyone else has a Frankenset on the go and what the theme might be.

I've been on again off again putting cards aside for a Frankenset over the last year or two.  I also got the idea from several bloggers. Mine will be pretty eclectic.  I love the following; broken bat card, double play cards, awesome plays at the plate, wall climbing catches, and then just oddball photography shots. The fun will begin when I actually start putting them in a binder. If I end up with TWO of the same number which one will I use for the Frankenset?  

A "Frankenset" is usually one card of each number from a set, but assembled of random parallel versions.  

A bunch of cards from random sets that all have a common theme is called a "collection".

I'm working on a #1-792 of my extra dodgers. Most of my cards are not in binders, but this is the exception. It;s a living set as I will update when new sets are released. I may later create another Franken-Set from Update & Traded sets.

I have three. One is all refractors, any sport. One is only players who played in an MLB All-Star Game. The third is just baseball, no criteria except fitting on the right numbers.
