I would like to remove a sticker auto from the 2021-22 Panini NBA G League Box Set card.

Who here has attempted that before? Is there any wisdom the group would be willing to share so I am successful?

Why do you want to remove. I haven't tried.

Nor have I, but I'd rather have a sticker AU than a damaged card. And a removed sticker AU can lead to fraud if utilized elsewhere. Just saying...

The hope and dream is to remove the player sticker auto, leaving a nicely designed blank spot to get the referee featured in the background to sign the card.

I haven't tried doing that, but I have removed stickers from things very carefully over the years. Using different methods some have succeeded and others, well others haven't. 

One of the best ways to remove a sticker is to heat up the glue using a hair dryer on high (or if you have one a heat gun). Hold the dryer over the sticker for a few seconds be careful not to get the dryer too close (if using a heat gun definitely keep it a good distance away they can melt and burn stuff before you know it) but close enough to heat the glue enough so the sticker can slide off and/or be pulled off carefully. There is a tool called a "Scotty Peeler" that is a plastic scraper tool that some people swear by. I haven't gotten around to getting one yet, but have thought of trying it out. Hmm I sense a hop onto Amazon soon.

If going the heat route I would definitely start with a hair dryer - heat guns can be powerful and nuke/burn very quickly if you are not familiar with them.

Whether you go heat or scraping I would start by experimenting on a card(s) you don't mind losing as there is obviously the potential for damage.

I found that Ryobi makes a small handheld heat pen that has two heat settings (450/750) which are not as hot as the high temp on bigger heat guns. I bought it to use on former library books to get the various tags removed with minimal damage. So far, I'm pretty happy. I also got a stubborn price tag removed from an action figure package card with good results. Still needed to do a light wipedown of a bit of residual glue, but the sticker came off pretty well.
The spot where the heat comes out is about the size of a dime so precision is more easily attained. Ryobi 18V ONE+ HEAT PEN
