Hello, I just created an account on this today. My name is Daniel and I love in a suburb of Detroit and PC mostly Tigers, Lions, Pistons, and Wings.
I found this forum while researching how to continue collecting cards on a budget or basically how I should go about continuing this hobby. I find myself getting into random breaks and buying hobby boxes and although I do not mind doing those things every once in a while I need to find a better way to go about this hobby.
So please any suggestions would be great. I know I am new and don't have and references but, I am more then willing to share my Whatnot and eBay profile ratings I am mostly a buyer but open to selling and trading (preferably trading lol).
I plan on uploading my collection today when I get home from work.
Thank you!

Hi Catboyz, welcome to the site. If you search through the forum you will likely see a lot of other introductory posts, or questions about how or what to collect, so I imagine there's plenty of reading to do. I would say, in short, try to figure out why you were attracted to cards in the first place. Was it for the love of baseball (player, team, etc), the nostalgia of collecting as you did in the past, and/or was it for the investment value? Could be one or many of those reasons, so you may wish to spend some time narrowing down why you joined those breaks or opened those boxes in the first place.

Welcome to the club. Be sure to check out the FAQ section. It's best to start there before asking questions on the forums. I lurked for a while before I started trading. I made sure I had an adequate inventory for trade. Listing 1,000s of card on your wantlist and only offering a few hundred will hinder offers. The better cards you have to offer, odds are you're going to have success meeting your goals. Good luck and let me know when you're ready to trade.

Hello and welcome. There are quite a few members in the Detroit area. I have family in Royal Oak that I visit frequently.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Welcome to the site, regarding the friend request you sent...I wouldn't do that right away...it kind of looks like Phishing. Once you get your collection entered, (Your Collection, your Wantslist, and your ForSaleTrade list) reach out and I will do a small trade with you to get you started. Thank You!

Well, if they had a designated Short Stop kind of thing, where he didn't have to bat, then we would be all set. They made some rule changes for Ohtani, maybe they will do it for Baez too!! HA! (Can he bunt?)
