RIP Bob Lemke

Bob Lemke passed away this morning. He was the editor of SCD's "Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards", "Sports Collectors Digest" and "Baseball Cards Magazine". He leaves behind a remarkable body of work as cataloguer of the hobby.

As a subscriber to Baseball Cards Magazine and SCD back in the early 80s, I too understand the importance of Bob Lemke in our fine hobby. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Sad news. I knew he was in poor health, he mentioned it a few times on the blog.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.

Bob will be missed greatly. If there was a hobby Mount Rushmore, Bob would certainly be on it.
