The only ones I've had issues with (and I've opened many 90's era packs lately) are 1994-95 Fleer and Ultra basketball, and 1994 Ultra baseball.  Granted I haven't dealt with much hockey, but since they were almost identical there is definitely potential for the 1994-95 Ultra hockey to end up the same way.

 You can add any 1991 or 1992 Wild Card football packs to your list of DO NOT BUY.   After many years, even though they are sealed in mylar, the cards themselves seem to be coated with glue.   Brick City

Well, that would stink if it was mold. It was wax packs. I have no idea how they have been stored, but they've been on the dealer's display case in a box with other packs since at least 2014. The other cards I got from them are OK, though the Parkhurst pack I mentioned as being a brick came from them as well. I also got packs of 1991-92 Upper Deck, 1991-92 Stadium Club, 2001-02 Victory and 1990-91 Pro Set from the same dealer and all of those were fine.

I've got a few singles from modern OPC sets I was given, I like them. I just scanned two from 2013-14 today, I think they are my newest. I have not gotten to Target to see what new stuff they have yet.
