lol...no. When NAFTA went in to force most US-Canada trades were already tariff-free. 99% of NAFTA's effect was with US-Mexico trades.

There is and will be no tariffs on sports cards coming this way to Canada as Canadian companies do not produce these. Never has been any that I know of and I have brought literally thousands into Canada from all States.

I will entertain trades but please don't offer me a 1993 Dave Stieb for a Nolan Ryan rookie. I prefer player for player (at least similar era and similar stardom).

For those that have PayPal accounts, purchasing postage through your PayPal account gets you a pretty nice USPS discount. I think it also allows for First Class postage up to 16 oz instead of 13 oz at the post office. It's a little tricky to figure out the first few times but once you get the hang of it, it's worth the savings.
For those that sell on eBay and purchase postage that way, it's the same discount.

Are these flat rate bubble mailers free as the boxes are? I tried to locate them online but the USPS website is tough to navigate, extremely user-unfriendly. If you could find it there and email me or post here, I would appreciate it.

When I last shipped to Canada I was asked to put the value on there by the clerk.
Value of baseball cards is subjective, so it was a few hundred and I just pulled a figure out of my head that was about .05 a piece (if I remember correctly). Most were commons. I knew that keeping it low would help with the postage.
To most people they're worthless. She looked at me like I was not being completely honest. I said, "they're just baseball cards. I'm trading with someone else."
If it's a trade, not a financial transaction, I have no problem putting low value on the shipping documents. And don't think many people would either.

From what I got, any value causes postage to go up. I think it is that as long as it is smaller than a certain size and thickness, then no value needs to be declared and the postage stays lower. But I use about 4 different outlets and they all seem to have different methods of calculating postage. So now I will not put the declaration label on a package unless requested to by the postie.

Thanks. I never really researched because I was not sure if the mailers could withstand possible postal abuse as well as the boxes do. I guess I'll just add extra padding as I do for boxes.

The flat-rate pre-paid padded envelope is $7.20 and the small flat-rate box is $7.15. For a nickel more, I wonder if the padded envelope will hold more cards than the box?
