I have a minor league baseball set to upload. On the checklist, the cards are all given a number, but there are no numbers on the cards themselves. Do I list them by the number on the checklist, or alphabetize them and list them as NNO?

Here's what I say. Put the checklist in WITH the numbers as they are on the checklist. If, it is decided later that they should not have the numbers, it is a lot easier for Admin to make the whole set NNO, that it would be the opposite way.
Maybe Admin will see this post and weigh in.

I would have sworn I had been told that it is acceptable to use card numbering that is established on the checklist card, even if the cards are NNO, but at the moment I can't find the message or remember which set I had asked about.
SO, I agree with Dan, create the clisting to agree with the checklist card, it is easy enough to change them to NNO later if need be.

My opinion is to post them in the order of the actual CL card but still have them with NNO for the card number. The CL on here will post in the order you place the cards when you upload it. The cards will not post alphabetically unless you list them that way. As long as you include scans of the checklist card, no one should alter it from the order you post it.

WHY?
As long as the cards are listed in the order shown on the actual Checklist Card, #'s are not necessary b/c they are not actually on the cards! The card numbers should all be NNO.
This site is striving to be the most accurate card database on the internet. Adding false information when you have the correct data is not making anything accurate!

What is the checklist you are refering to? On line or is it a printed card for the set?
To me that will mean the differance to a number or NNO
Okay off my soap box who is next?

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

I would like to see TC34's reply as well. My understanding of his post was that he has the complete set which includes the CL card. Every MiLB set I've ever obtained like this one included a checklist card OR had at least had a set list. If this is truly an MiLB SET, there is surely info about the set contained in what he is holding. MiLB cards are pretty much always packaged as a set, not parted out as individual cards!

Very true and most where sold at the shop inside the stadium.
Hagerstown I think it was would have a couple players there to sign their card if you bought a set. Most were pitchers or non starter and early after gates opened. Means you had more time to eat at Boog's BBQ pit. Aww did it smell nice when the smoke blew into the stands

If the cards themselves have no number, then NNO. Why? If I have only one card of the set and wish to search that card on this site by filtering the numbers, I will enter NNO. If we put numbers to cards that don't have numbers, then this won't work. Of all of the sites I visit, one thing I really like about this site is the ease to find what I am looking for. Let's not hamper that.
