Back in 1990 I purchased three 1986 Topps Football wax packs and pulled two Jerry Rice RCs right in front of the store owner. I quickly flipped one of them for the 1968 Topps Don Meredith and 1966 Philadelphia Bob Hayes RC.

I sadly traded the card away and don't remember what I got for it.

I pulled a Roberto Clemente patch card from a 2001 Topps pack. I took it to my local card shop and the Owner sold it on eBay for me. I believe it sold for $125 and I got $75 or $80 of the money.  I was putting together a 1967 set at the time so I used the money toward a Seaver rookie. As I recall, high Beckett was about $250 at the time and I got a really nice one for $180.

I bought a two-pack repack of 1998 Upper Deck hobby baseball at a Wal-Mart many years.  Pulled an ARod jersey (they were like 1:1500 or something insane).  Traded it for double-book towards some hockey stuff I was collecting at the time.
