I picked up a Fergie Jenkins card at a card show yesterday that has the same front (without the 3D) as the '72 Kelloggs issue but has nothing on the back.  I'm beginning to think it's not really a card at all, but rather a picture of a Kelloggs card from a box of some sort.  Just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this.  

You are correct. Not a real card, it was cut from the box. On this particular box Vida Blue was a full-size card sample:

Yep, that looks like it.  The "card" is the same size as a regular Kelloggs card, but is missing the 3D and anything on the back.  It's still fun though.  As far as collectibles go, it's just as fun (if not moreso) than many "real" cards - especially for someone like me who enjoys oddball stuff.
