I know we all are a little crazy when you think that we spend so much time, money and effort buying up litle pieces of cardboard, but I need to know if I alone on this. I have a real problem getting rid of things. When I was younger, I got in trouble with my parents because I saved every empty wrapper from every pack I bought and also saved all the emtpy boxes of cards I bought. My mother made me toss them for closet space.
Now I am older, married, with kids, and I have an office full of opened and empty pack wrappers and boxes. I look at them and laugh because I know I should throw them out and I cannot explain even to myself why I need to or should keep them. I go to the garbage with them, and then bring them right back to my office. Am I nuts? Does anyone else do this? Is there a reason I should keep these? Does anyone have any words of wisdon that might help me either part with them or justify keeping them? Help!!! I think my wife wants me to see a therapist, lol!!!

Of course you are...aren't we all.
I've saved one example of each different wrapper from packs I've bought.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I have opened boxes and packs all over the place. I will throw them out eventually, but I'll make sure there are scans on here before I do. Some of those boxes/packs are over 20 years old (not that I've had them that long though). I do have a few that I've had for about a decade though. So, I guess I'm crazy too! I certainly keep packs for odd cards to remind me of what they actually are and that came in very handy when adding cards/scans for 2004 MLB Showdown TCG cards. Without the packs, it would have been hard to tell exactly what cards I had.

Somewhere, I have wax wrappers from 1978 and a bunch from throughout the 1980s.Where is the question. They were inside an empty wax box.
Me crazy too. :)

I only keep them until know there are copies of everything on here for reference sake. Then they meet their doom, I do however have all my boxes with box bottom cards, not sure how to store them so they are all stacked in my closet(s) still. LOL

You could take those Wax wapers and make a nice picture out of them and frame it same with boxes cut the tops off and do the same thing this way you have nice frames of your favorit Topps or other you bought, just be cerative.
