Would someone explain this "set" to me? It seems to span several years. Any and all information on this will help end my confusion.

Yes, 1947 thru 1966. Exhibit Supply Co. released a set of large black & white photos on thick cardboard every year. There are no dates on the photos. Many players were released multiple years, sometimes the photo changed.  There's really no way to identify the separate years' releases, hence the 1947-1966 title.

Three more questions, then:

1. How was a checklist developed if the cards have no number or date?
2. What size card are they?
3. The Alvin Dark cards which are shown as 56a-c VAR, one has a date of 1960 but he played for Philly in '60, and the others have no date but didn't play with Giants or Braves around that time. So why are they considered VAR?
