I had another collector contact me for a trade about 6 weeks ago. I sent out a package and it was marked as received a few days later. To date I have not received anything from that collector. I have sent a few messages inquiring about the status of the trade. I have been very polite about it, understading how easy it could be to put something on the backburner in your mind and then completely forget about it. However, it is becoming more and more frustrating when these messages are not being replied to. I am now at the point where I am ready to just write it off as a loss and move on. Just wondering how it would affect my collection database if I delete the transaction. Currently everything is listed as in transit because the cards involved on both sides are tied up in a transaction that is labeled as in progress. I want the cards that I sent out to be removed from my inventory but the ones I was supposed to receive should not be added. How do I go about this to ensure that my inventory is kept accurate with what I actually have.

Not sure if this is exactly what you want to do; go to your Collection, at the bottom of the page, under Actions choose Delete everything that is currently In-Transit. If not, go to each card and manually change status to "Remove".

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

If he marked it received those cards should have come out of your inventory. You will have to manually remove the cards you did not receive and add the transaction to unfinished. Could you message me the bad trader? Thanks

They don't move unless the transaction is marked completed, I believe. I have a bunch on my in-transit list because other people didn't finish the trade steps, and I can't remember who I traded with to send them a reminder. I can't just delete everything either because I am using that to track cards waiting for shipment in my COMC account, some of which have been held there since November.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I think bad traders should be made public to all through this forum. If it is accidental, we would forgive and give a second opportunity to redeem himself. It may also help the individual remember that he owes someone a delivery.
Hope this is not becoming a trend on this site.

On the drop down menu on card page for the cards there is an option to remove card.
If you sent it it removes card from IN TRANSIT and does not put it back in your inventory
If you were waiting for/sent a bunch from the same set you go to collection page and under choose action choose REMOVE ALL FROM IN-TRANSIT You can not do this if you have cards marked in transit that you know are on way.
When cards are marked as received those cards are removed from BOTH in transit lists.
I watch the IN TRANSIT total on My Collection Page to watch number go up and down. to make sure all is correct. when trades are marked as received or mailed. I will go thru TRADE list, hoping to find out what card is still in the IN TRANSIT state. When I trade a card I enter on some of them from the cards page on the card in transit the trade number. Or I compare the traded cards list with the cards in IN TRANSIT list to see if they are removed.
All the TRADE COMPLETE does is moves trade to COMPLETED section on Transaction page.

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

Just when I had given up on this deal and was ready to write it off as a loss, the cards finally arrived. Granted, it arrived postage due, but at least I got what I was expecting.

I didn't know they still did that. I'd received some cards late due to insufficient postage that was returned to the sender who then added the additional stamps and fixed the issue. Anyway, good thing you got the cards.
