OPC and Topps had a working areement.
OPC cards where printed in Canada
From my collecting days when I bought by series 1 to 6 monthly
The 7th series came out in Sept. The wholesaler I worked at would not buy them as it was FOOTBALL card season. I use to have to mail off to a dealer in California, might of been Kit Young, can't remember, for the last series.
Now the way they were printed some were harder to find years later. 1962 #533 CHARLIE LAU I bulit 2 sets and both times this was last or next to last card to complete set. I never seen this card, until last decade.
Another one was one needed for a PHILLIES set 1967 #587 NL ROOKIES Don Shaw & Gary Sutherland on it.
Where we say short prints for the ones printed once, the other cards would be labeled DP in the years of ONE SERIES 1974 to 1994
Robert
“It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.”
