It has probably been answered time and again. But how do you tell the difference between a Topps card and a Topps Tiffany card? For instance, I've noticed that the 1987 Topps cards have brown, blue, and yellow backs. While the Tiffany's used the "Traded" backs of white, blue, and yellow. I BELIEVE that the way you can tell the difference between the "Traded" set; is that the Non-Tiffany's have two little stars on the bottom left of the back.
Thats it for 1987, but what about the other years?

It's simple. the tiffany cards have a high gloss finish.

Especially in the 1987 set, when you see a Tiffany, you will have no doubt it is one.

Along with being glossy, the backs are also lighter. I wish I knew how to upload pictures her to show you the backs of my 89 Bowman Tiffany Smoltz RC and 89 Topps Tiffany Smoltz RC. The backs are a dad giveaway but like others said above me the glossy finish is the easiest way.
Good luck with the Tiffanies, there are great looking cards!

If only there were a site that hosted checklists and images to see the difference...

A few of the years are nearly the same. Like I said, the '87 trade set is very similar.
