As many of you know, I changed jobs last year (after a longer-than-intended break) and the job I've had since October has been about 1,000 miles from home. I fly in every Sunday afternoon and fly back home on Thursday nights. I have one week left, and I start something close to home, no more weekly flying. So, I'm already on the edge emotionally, leaving behind some great people that I met this past year.
So I walk in the door tonight, and there is a padded mailer on the table with the mail from this past week - I wasn't expecting anything, so I brought to my "area" (computer, cards, etc.) to open it while catching up on what I missed while being in the air.
He might not want this recognition, but he so deserves it. The package was from engine614 (Joe), whom I have dealt with several times. It's the Phillies stadium giveaway set - not just 15 of the 20 cards that you're handed. No, this is the full set. He went out of his way to obtain the full set for me. Not only that, he also got an extra Darren Daulton for my son's collection!
I already sent him a private message, but Joe, this is just amazing. Thank you so much. I really can't even begin to say how much I appreciate the thought. Wow. Just, wow. Standing O for Joe.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
