I have all my cards sorted out by team. Stacks of cards everywhere. What has stood out, that I can't understand, is both Philadelphia teams (Phillies and Eagles) are substantially shorter than the others. All other teams are pretty much level. Teams like the Yankess and Red Sox are the biggest. Now I know they produce more cards for bigger markets, but I thought Philly was a pretty big market. With a pretty solid fanbase. I have collected the same, nothing different. Anyway, just wondering why all the hate. I mean Philly produced Rocky Balboa, the best fighter ever.

No clue, my expansion teams are small, as expected, but my Phillies section is about the same as the rest. My Orioles and Nats/Expos sections are substantially bigger thanks to location though.

Interesting. I just checked by collection stats for what is logged in to date. I figured it would be representative of my unlogged cards as well since I have been inputting by set. The Phillies rank 22 out of my baseball teams and Eagles are 19. It should be noted that the Eagles are a few cards (abour 15) from being around 14 in each sport. While that doesn't show neglect, I do see significant differnence in the top teams from each sport, over 100 difrference. These are the Yankees and Red Sox as well. I also have significant difference for Reds, Cubs and Pirates to round out my top 5. I like this post. Looking at collections different ways is always intriguing!

We have had some pretty bad teams along the way, but we've also had some good teams in there as well (Eagles had a pretty good run under Andy Reid, and the Phillies have won 2 WS and been to 3 others in the past 37 years - ok, so not so good). I wonder where the Philly teams rank in production over the past 40 or 50 years compared the other teams (that have been around during that same span).
Maybe you've already traded with the Philly collectors? :)
I am always interested in getting Phillies that I don't have. I'll have to see what you have.

Hey, that's more than the O's can say. We haven't been to a WS in 34 years and had a 15 year playoff hiatus.

I was going to ask the same question Dan asked. We have several Philly guys on here. Any chance you made a large trade with any of them?

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

No trades yet with phillies, but once I get them up, they all will be for trade, waiting for a home where they will be appreciated.
