I have a worse story. I went one time to Target and this older guy, about 60, was using his thumb naile to push on the Allen and Ginter packs at full force. I asked him what he was doing and he said he could feel insert memorbilia cards, he knows what to feel for. I scolded him saying he was ruining the cards in the pack for some young kid who wanted to collect them. I don't collect Allen and Ginter, but this ticked me off. He said it didn't matter, all the other cards in the pack were garbage and the whole section of cards is just junk anyway. He said if it wasn't him, there was a crew of guys that goes around on the day the stores puts out new cards and they are all doing it, so it is him or somone else. Then he said these cards were probably already searched anyway since he came late, but it was worth a shot anyway.
Fast forward another two months and I went to pick up my standard Friday pack or two and this guy was on the phone with his buddy talking about everything they had and that he already searched the Topps and was on to Donruss. I watched as he literally bent every pack in the box from end to end. He was about 30. I realized he was trying to see if the thicker card stock memoribilia cards were in the packs. I was livid, all the topps packs had already been bent. He didn't crease them, but seriously, what is wrong with people. This is not the last time I saw someone doing this and to make matters worse, I now feel like I can tell when the packs were bent, they feel a little looser when you try to bend them. Target doesn't care and there is no way to stop this, but it infuriates me. I have to try to not let it bother me, I have the personality that doesn't stop me from making a scene. I have realized that if I make a scene, I am the one that will get in trouble, but this is just wrong. I wish there was a way to stop it.
