It had been over two months since I have had time to scan some cards into the database. I finally got some time on Labor Day to scan some baseball. I focused mainly on inserts, autos, and SNs as I felt those were least likely to get added by someone else. I knew the 2 million mark was coming up, I thought maybe one of my scans would be the magic number!
Alas, I was a day too late haha.

I've done more than 70,000 scans and not a single one has been a milestone upload...even though I was uploading all that day and did almost 200 cards the day we hit 2 million...I am going to try for 3 million...unless I run out of cards before then, as I'm looking at sometime next spring when I finish everything that needs scans here...time will tell!

Keep in mind that if your collection is steadily growing, you may never run out of cards. Every single time I start to get close to there being a scan for every card I own, I end up getting more cards and the list grows.
My baseball collection is always very close, but my basketball list never seems to let up. I think a lot more people collect baseball than they do basketball. I would consider myself to mainly be an NBA collector, and MLB as secondary. Whenever I get a new set of baseball cards, all of the base cards are pretty much on the website within a week.
I had to scan just about all of my 15-16 Threads, Excalibur, and Prizm cards. I had to scan most of my 16-17 Prizm cards and I am still working on finishing the last parallel set. 16-17 Excalibur and Threads are most of what is left. Once I get those down, I am sure I will be looking at a huge list of 17-18 soon. lol

Actually my collection is moving more into the NHL realm. I have not bought a single NBA repack this year...when I get them, if I get 5 new cards out of 100 I consider it a win...but now that I'm doing to NHL, if I get more than one duplicate I'm disappointed. (Granted, I have not bought a repack of any sort since around March- almost all of my new additions have come from trading and as gifts. I would have missed Excalibur completely if you and Madding had not traded me cards from the set.). When I started paying attention to the list of cards in my collection missing scans, it was 88 pages. It's now down to 59. Each page holds 100 cards. I only started using the feature around March or April of this year.
I'm also agonizing over the decision of possibly putting everything on hold and trying to make my lifelong dream of classic car ownership happen. If I do that, it will likely take me out of the hobby for 3 or more years. I have to give up something I love to try and do something else I love. Hard choice.

Well Billy, if you do decide to venture into the classic car I'm sure many of us here hope that you still stick around on the database. I am sure you will still be able to get new cards anyhow via occasional trades and gifts.

It seems like nearly every NASCAR card I acquire needs a scan here. Baseball definitely has a ton of scans. That's a big part of the reason I didn't start adding my MLB cards on here when I first joined. I did NASCAR and NFL first. Still have one album of NFL to add to my collection and thousands of scans of NFL cards. NASCAR is completely done except the 2 cards I got in the mail today. I started adding MLB cards to my FS/T list and I don't think a single one needed scans. I've added nearly everything up to 1988. I haven't even started with NBA cards yet (or NHL).
