The kicker was when i went to send a bubble mailer to Canada and was told the rate is $9.50!  Sorry, but cards are going to Canada in envelopes now....

It is the same coming from here. What I have found is that, 18-20 cards can be sent in a business PWE with cereal boxboard ot protect the cards for standard international postage.  Once you get over that number up to 150 or so cards, costs make it less economical as the postage rates for small parcels jump too much.  Trades of 250-300 cards can be shipped in one parcel for about the same cost as if someone tried to break it down into 15 separate PWE.

I encourage everyone to build trades with others to economize the postage costs.  I don't mind sending three PWE for 3 trades with the same member, or if there are 200+ cards you want to trade, do it all inone trade.  The trades for 50-100 cards that are worth less than a penny each (on either side of the border) are difficult to justify spending $15 to send.

This reply is hoping that trade partners south of the border do not get discouraged trading with those of us north of the border.

Postage is getting out of control. Not only do we have to deal with people over inflating postage for cards but the USPS does it also. UGH

At my office, the woman clerk goes ballistic if she sees someone on a cell phone (I am not talking about picture taking).  She stops whatever she is doing and points to the sign which says "turn off all cell phones" and yells at them if they don't immediately do it.    Sort of like the nun I had in 5th grade.

LOL.   I am old, yes, I had nuns.   To them I was a saint.

This is what is so frustrating for me about trading.   PWE trades I have no problem with (I do up to 10 cards)    When doing larger trades I have paid more in shipping then the cards are worth.

Last trade  cost of shipping $4.60.  BV of cards $15.00 real value  $6.00.    What I received  BV $12.00 Real value $5.00.  It did not show what it cost him to ship.  SO I paid $4.60 and all the cards for $5.00 worth of cards.   I needed all of them so no real problem BUT just frustrating.  He used BV for trades.
