Im looking at a card on COMC. It's stored in a "remote warehouse." (Kind of like where we store ranfordfan). It will take 1-2 weeks extra to receive if I buy it. What happens if I buy and don't request shipping for a while? I have almost a year of cards waiting for a free shipping day. If I buy it now, will it be in the main warehouse by November and all come together?

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I have not had experience with this but I imagine it would ship separately when you do request shipment.

i haven't bought anything from a remote warehouse.. but i "think" if its stored elsewhere - that shop will mail it.. but i can't be sure. i have tested the waters by recently buying a redemption card that has been redeemed, but i'm having to wait until panini gets the guy to sign it.. so, i may get it in 3 or 5 years

Thanks guys. Sounds like Billy has done this.
Good luck with the redemption, Tony. I hope it isn't Dion Waiters. They (Panini) sent me a different card (team of my choice) and told me Waiters kept all the cards they gave him to sign.

You could always call them (1-800-517-3540) Mon-Fri: 9:00AM - 5:00PM Pacific Standard Time or email (staff@comc.com) and ask.

I would imagine it just says that in case you need it in a hurry so you know it may take longer than usual. Never experienced it myself and I've bought quite a few from COMC.

Billy is correct. If you are not planning to have it shipped right away it will come with the rest of your order. If you ask to have it shipped right away, there will be a delay.

If I recall correctly the main COMC warehouse is in Washington State but also have a remote warehouse somewhere in Canada there might be a third warehouse but I'm not sure as to where. I would guess that until you actually request shipping the card(s) would remain in the "remote" warehouse in the Great White North until you request the card(s) to be shipped.

COMC partnered a while back with Dean's Cards (in Cincinnati, Ohio) who provides scans of each and every card they list on the site (and keep the cards in their possision). Dean's also has a big presence on ebay.
If a card on COMC has a black background, it's at Dean's (or originated from there - could be getting flipped - but I doubt that - more on the reason why further down*). So, white background - Washington, white background "Remote" - Canada, black background "remote" - Ohio. Maybe, once someone buys a card from Dean's, they send it into COMC so it can be distributed then.
* - Dean's Cards has been the recipient of a lot of my venom because of their prices and self-proclaimed grading service they perform on all their cards. Their prices on ebay have been notoriously ridiculously high. Like $25 for a common 1964 Topps when most are selling them for $2 - $5. Due to my saved searches for some 1950s and 1960s Phillies, I actually blocked them from showing up because my searches were being overrun with their highly overpriced listings. The first 2 paragraphs are facts, while this last paragraph contains my personal opinion. Please do your own research on them.
