Most of us on here are sports cards collectors, in some degree. The big 5 have all been getting cards regularly for 30+ years now and I think soccer and wrestling can be added to that list of card regulars as well.
But there's so many other sports that never get cards, or only show up rarely in multi-sport or Olympic sets. All these sports are not getting their histories documented on cardboard, and that's a shame.
Which is your favorite?
For me, it's tough, because I like most all of the events in the Olympics...and there are some sports that aren't in the Olympics but are out there...so picking a favorite is hard. There's an abundance of possible answers, but I'm going to say volleyball now with the asterisk that I may change it to something else at some point. I actually like the indoor team event more than the beach version, although the beach version gets more media coverage- probably because of the (lack of) uniforms.
If I ruled the world, every sport would get a card set properly documenting it's seasons and athletes every year.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I'm with pistonfan. Tennis. Although I would love to see a F1 or MotoGP card set.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I'm not sure if this quite counts or not, but I would love more college baseball cards. Yeah, I know Panini has a few draft pick sets and stuff, and I know there are issues with amatuer status and/or licensing, but there are so darn many football and even basketball college sets that it seems like a few baseball ones would be nice.
Yes, I'm biased because baseball is my first love and I played my entire life up until this point. But if I were truly biased, I would claim that even us NAIA players should have gotten cards ;)

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

Although I love the concept of the Olympics, I think I would have to go with WNBA or a Women's World Cup Soccer set. I have two daughters and they started collecting with dad, but I know they would love it more if they could see some women on cards. Right now they collect Star Wars and other kids stuff (you can see the dad influence, lol). They started to watch sports a bit, but I feel like they would love seeing some ladies and there just isn't enough coverage of ladies pro leagues other than WNBA.
