I will be visiting my son in Houston over the Labor Day weekend and am asking for some card shop input. Does anyone know of a baseball card shop there that has a lot of singles. I only collect Cincinnati Reds cards and have found that I find more of them the farther I get from Cincinnati. I googled it but found little information available online. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As my son still works that Friday, I will have the whole day to myself.

If nobody from the Houston area chimes in here you can at least do a little research by checking out cardshopfinder.com  search TX for the Houston area. If you are lucky maybe some of the shops listed will have websites that give some of the info you are looking for. There might be a phone number or two you could call.

There's really only one card shop left here in town (a travesty, for sure) and that's Sports Collectibles of Houston. You'll have to hunt through boxes organized by set for the most part, so a want list will go a long way for you. There are a few tubs of cards that have been grouped by decade (50s-60s, 70s, etc) but for the most part he has a lot of stuff organized in boxes on the wall.

 That shop is only about 30 minutes from my son's apt. Considering the size of Houston, that is very good news. I will try to stop by. Thanks for the help.
