I agree that a "Wall of Shame" would be bad. The reason for feedback is obvious and works well. If everyone would just check out the profile of members proposing trades or that they want to trade with before moving ahead with a trade, it usually works well for all parties involved.
I've been a member of Beckett for about 15 years now. Once a "bad traders" thread started that was easy to get to, new members got scared off. Even after a "good traders" thread was started and right there with the other thread, it didn't seem to help anything. Besides Beckett charging money for nearly everything now, the site quickly dropped off in the number of regular members b/c of the constant threat of getting scammed. Even with their very good trade/feedback system, the threads scared people away. When you see a list of hundreds of scammers on a site with tens of thousands of members and the list goes back about 8 years, it looks scary!
With over 700 documented trades/purchases/sells across several sites, I've never been scammed. That doesn't include the deals I've done with no real documentation. You just need to do the work to make sure someone is reputable.
NO PWE's EVER!!! PLZ PM me 1st before sending any offer. ONLY selling cards as of March 2024. No trades or purchases right now.
