a clickable link to cards in your collection that need upgrading. Maybe you could mark it in edit details as needs replacing and somehow have a link to them.

That capability is already there. Put "filler" (or whatever you want) in the Comments field of your card's details. Then do a "Search the Comment field in your collection". It's the last Report option in your Collection.
