So I know this is a tad off from regular cardboard collecting but I had a question. In Canada Lays and Pepsi had a contest with the NHL for the 100th Anniversary. My neice worked at a grocery store that had a large chip display and at the top were 10 NHL players on five double sided panels. Was curious how to look up on something like this. Such as rarity, price, etc. It has a fair amount of good players, Gaudreau, Horvat, Draisaitl(?) just to name a few. Any help would be grand! Thanks.

Are you saying that you have the panels? That would be awesome. Promotional displays from (non-card) stores usually end up being pretty rare b/c they get tossed in the trash after the promotion is over. I have some inflatable NFL promotional items from beer companies from 1993, 1997, 1998 that I have never seen anywhere else. I continue to hold on to them b/c I like them, even though they aren't my brand of beer. One is a Miller Lite can with the field goal post sticking out of the top and with the Super Bowl logo from 1997 in the Superdome.

Yeah they measure about 12" x 30" and have each player in an action pose, five panels in all. The lady asked if I wanted everything but I said no just the panels. I have never seen another one and four of last night could not find any info anywhere. They are pretty slick, I'll post a few pics over the holidays.

There's definitely a market for POS displays, but value can be tricky. They take a lot of space to display, so the appeal is limited, but they are not very common so they can be valuable to the right collector. I don't know of any catalog for that sort of item.

(P.S., that's "Point Of Sale" displays, what were you thinking? LOL!)

Not sure what happened to the first picture? Admin deleted it maybe due to copyright? Not sure as it was visible earlier. Not a biggie.
