(let me preface this thread wtih that i never looked to see if tcdb had a facebook page)
So I had joined another facebook group for building and creating sets. Anyways, i have always reffered people in the month i have been in this group to this page so they can get thier lists off of scratch paper and into printable and shareable files.
It made me think how cool it would be to see a facebook page for this site. I searched today and found your facebook page and it is full of posts and cool info that you cannot see here on this website. I know it takes time and energy, but it would be cool if there could be some sort of integration of the facebook posts (or tweets as well if you are on twitter) onto this site either in the forum or a widget to the side like the twitter one.
I also liked the page and will now share it as a tag in my posts.

I just HAVE to reply to this post b/c I don't do Facebook OR Twitter. But I am on other sites that have a Facebook and/or Twitter page also and they don't like integration. Integration of the main site with either of those sites is a bad idea. The members of this site aren't here to see Facebook and Twitter threads/posts/etc.. Facebook stuff should stay over there and Tweets on Twitter should stay on that site too. They should not be on this site!
Also: trades, sells and purchases can be monitored on this site and be assured that they are legit. That is not the case on FB or Twitter. Facebook has become the biggest rip-off site on the internet for card collectors b/c there is nothing to stop anyone from taking advantage of unsuspecting "customers". On second thought, Craig's List might be #1, but Facebook pages are right there with them.
I don't care if TCDB has an FB page or Twitter link, but if it gets linked into this actual site, I am out of here. My favorite NASCAR trading site has a Facebook page and the only time they overlink is when someone comes on to complain about a thief from the Facebook page! We don't need that problem moving from FB to TCDB.

I have to agree with Spaz. Fine for FB to have a community that follows TCDB but not the other way around. I don't come here to see what is on FB. Ifsomeone is a true collector and wants to see this site and be involved, then they should become a member. I would never entertain trades that originated from FB (or any other site for that matter; I have plenty of trades here at TCDB).
By the way, I have never had issues with Craigs List. But as always and like the police advise, don't agree to meet up in less than public, well lit, daytime, neutral locations. And if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably isn't.

Spaz all the way. I hate Facebook so much.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I'm on FB (daily, 2 fun games). I'm on Twitter (2 times a year, maybe). I'm on here (too much?).
Please don't mix them up.
Down in the lower right of every page here, there are two buttons. Click the "f", you go to TCDB's FB page. Click the bird, and you go to TCDB's Twitter page. Good enough for me!

I follow both the twitter and facebook pages. I like the facebook page because it lists the newest gallaries once or twice a day and who helped with the scans. The twitter account is cool too because it doesn't post all that much, but sometimes randomly retweets card related tweets or shares news stories about cards. I've found a few new stories because of that. I don't use FB much these days, but its fun to see their posts. I think the main reason for it is to promote the site and draw the crowd here, so trading doesn't really happen there. Which I'm glad about because I'm not a big fan of trading groups on FB (cards or otherwise).

Royal Card Review is my blog if you feel like checking it out, thanks if you do!- royalcardreview.blogspot.com/ In the process of updating my collection so don't trust any of my lists right now.

Go Spaz!
I belong to a number of Facebook groups and do some trading there. There is too much "Internet Rage" there and so very little of it here. Keeping the two separate is my vote.

Let's trade! I keep my Wantlist and For Sale lists updated.
