Spaz I'm glad you understand the reason (at least part of it) why the USPS is having so much difficulty. Congress knew making USPS frontload retirement benefits would cause significant financial strain on the Postal Service. Their goal was to either A) force the USPS into private hands, B)undermine a government run entity, and/or C)shift consumers over to FedEx/UPS since I'm sure they donated a lot of money to Congress

Funny thing about part C is that FedEx and UPS both use the USPS to deliver their packages. If it's small enough to fit in a mailbox, they will transfer it to USPS. Those who live well outside of city limits are more likely to see USPS delivering packages than anyone else, no matter the size of the package.
By the way, what ever happened to DHL? They were widespread here for a year or so and then almost completely gone. I'm guessing they went back to mostly overseas activity.

Response :
1. Yes, I use PayPal for Canadian orders, been doing it for awhile. Seems prices are reasonable and not $30.00 to ship. lol. I have also used PayPal for international orders, but less frequently.
2. Yes, follow the link from markz. You might have to backdoor PayPal but what you want is "shipnow".

Ditto up here, used to be DHL as well, yellow vehicles and red lettering. But they are nowhere to be seen anymore. UPS tried it up here, we even had a UPS store right in town for a while but it closed shop years ago. They may still be in the big cities but not sure. But sadly here (my town) it is Canada Post or Puralator. All the companies from ebay to amazon, zulily to home depot ALL use those two companies. So not much choice in this neck of the tundra.

It's funny ranfan, but every time you type Puralator, all I think of is Purolator which is the brand of oil filter I normally use when I change the oil in my car!

The Canadian delivery company is actually spelled Purolator.
Just like our Smarties are not what you guys think when we have candy. (Ours are like M&Ms while what you call Smarties at Halloween, we call Rockets.)
