I was entering in what I thought was a complete set of the the 1989 Kahn's/Hillshire Farms Copperstown Collection. According to the checklist, there was also a coupon included. From images I've looked at online, it doesn't appear to have anything to do with baseball and the set in general other than it was included. Do I really need to track down an old expired hot dog coupon to complete the set? If I'm in the minority here, I'll gladly say no more and suffer the gnawing torment of being one card (coupon!) short of a complete set, but I'd much rather convince the powers that be here to simply remove it from the checklist...

Maybe it can be considered an "insert"???

I would say no. Ditto for a sticker album being required to complete a sticker set. The album is not part of the set.

Generally I would
say no...however,
if it was included
with a factory set,
and the only way to
get the cards was
as a factory set,
then yes, it should
be included.
There are many
instances where
promos and even
uncut sheets are
included as set
percentage on the
Database and
shouldn't be. I've
send Admin some
corrections but
haven't gotten
around to sending
them all yet. A
quick perusal
through the Sets
close to completion
will reveal several
in racing and non-
sports, and at
least one in
basketball off the
top of my head.
Probably others as
well but I don't
really check them.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I would probably consider it a one-card insert that we can add now. If it's not numbered in the set, I consider a set complete without it personally. The certificate of authenticity in 1991 Front Row basketball comes to mind. It's separate on here. I know there are other examples where something like that is included too, though. In reality, It probably comes down to the preference of the person who uploaded the checklist.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I want to have everything, but that's me. I'm still trying to obtain 2005 Bowman Heritage Mahogany and Mini redemption cards that Topps kept, but didn't produce the Mantle Versions. Also looking for 2004 BH Roop binder redemption.

Oh, there's a clock

Some people that build master sets feel the need to have every variation of cards from certain sets. Even the coupon. To me, it's not part of the set. Because it nothing to do with baseball.
