thats the one downfall- because it cost .25c to llist a card (for them to process, etc) + whatever you want to make out of it. so if you list a base card for .30c, you're getting 5c and they're getting 25c. its best to buy base from sportslot , cardbarrel or other cheaper sites. comc is better for other types of cards not base (for the major sports anyway- im not sure how hard it is for non-sport cards to find)

I have bought quite a bit on COMC, and so far, sold exactly 1 card on there* (it was a flip). I have not sent anything in. My problem is what happens if I send in 1,000 cards, and only 200 sell? I don't want the 800 to just disappear. I'd rather sell them for next to nothing to the fine folks here. :) (Seriously!)
* - The one card was misclassified when I bought it and the seller still had it at a ridiculous price. I even made an offer on the card, which was accepted. I have found if you own the card that you submit the error report on, it gets fixed really fast. So, that's what I did. Got it corrected, and listed it and made a couple dollars on it. It was a card that if I wound up keeping it, I would've been fine with that too (it was a player my son and I collect).

It now costs .30c to process a card unless you are sending in cards that meet their new stuff guidelines. So if I sent a box of 2018 baseball the cost would only be .25c to process, but if there is even 1 2017 or earlier card that lot goes back to the .30c price. I'm ok with the .30c because I always send in a wide variety of years and card types.
As far as pricing rarely do I put a card less than .74c. The cutoff for storage fee is .75c so why would I price my base less than that? It works for me because I get a great many sales through amazon and ebay.

Cards stay for sale until they sell. They don't disappear and you never have to relist them.
Cards tend to sell best within hours of being listed, probably because you can search by recently added to the site. But I just sold one last week that was listed in September 2016. I believe I made four cents in profit, which will eventually go towards another card I need, instead of one I had four copies of.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. There is also an option of having them ship your unsold cards back to you. I forget when I first sent cards in to be sold there. According to my dashboard there I started with 215 cards and over the years have sold 50 leaving 165 currently. I have a mix of sports with most being common inserts. I usually sell a handful each year it has been almost a year since my last sale there.

One other thing I like to do is anytime one of my cards sells I usually try to add the price here on the TCDB.

I didn't mean to imply that cards disappear after a certain time and I know they can be shipped back (at a significant cost). IIRC, they allow you to donate unsold items.

I started selling on COMC last year and I have been very happy with the results. A good guideline to selling is to only send in cards that are worth it, so sending in hundreds of base cards that are dime and quarter cards isn't a good idea. With those put them on eBay and sell them as a lot.
