I have done some scanning in the past but I really havent done any in a while because scanner is broken and I just seem not to have the time to do it. Once my I get a new scanner I have differnt plans I already have 2 volunteers so I will be sending the scans to them and they will crop and load for me. My eyesight is not as good as it once was heck sometimes I cant see the numbers on the back of the cards anymore without a magnifing glass.
I perfer scans over pictures just a clearer image and cleaner all the way around. Fuzzy, out of focus pictures just look trashy to me

Working in the crop queue, and I would say in the past 15 minutes I've marked "Watermarked" to about 20 submissions of cards on stands, cards in hand, cards being taken with a selfie in a mirror. These are not all one member, if I counted correctly I think I sent a link to the image guidelines in FAQs to 5 different accounts.
FFS how hard is it? Even if you are brand new, how can you think a #$&%^ selfie in the mirror is the way to do this. "Hey all the images on this site are nice clean and crisp....think I will hold this one up to a mirror and submit a backwards image with my thumb over half the card.

Is there an internal tally of how many poor images have been attempted by each user? Let's pretend 'newer' members do not read the FAQ or scan the forum; what protocol is in place to alert them what the standards of the site are?

There are currently over 800 cards tagged as needing replacement from 2022-23 and 2023 sets alone.
Perhaps Admin should be aware of this thread to encourage new quality control implementation.

Can we rule out that the site isn't being trolled? Obviously nearly everyone here takes the hobby pretty seriously and take pride in accuracy.
However, we all know people who stopped maturing at some point during middle school. Weather it's a incoherent rant or photos that are intentionally bad. Some members have lots of free time to stir the pot and watching the reaction.

Permissions on the site are a privilege and they should be revoked regardless of the member's level if the member is uploading rubbish.

"Let's pretend 'newer' members do not read the FAQ or scan the forum." No need to pretend- it's obvious that a vast majority don't with these low quality "picture of a card in a toploader on a plastic stand with the light reflection taking up half of the card no effort" images.

My eBay store.- Be sure to check it out! FOR SALE/TRADE: View my profile for details! If there's a certain player you want, ask me about them, I'll probably have a card of their's that I'm willing to trade but haven't marked on my FS/T list. For more specific info, visit profile or message me.

Here is what an account with 0 points sees when attempting to upload a card's image:
All of the image guidelines are right there. Maybe #6 should be item #1. But otherwise, it's all in your face when trying to upload images.
