Once it’s “determined”, then it’ll be “announced”?
Using TBD is fine also. It’s just a placeholder.

what if when you browse by year, then click a year, it list all the Checklist for that year.. how about if a ( I ) be desgniated after the name to denote "Incomplete" .. so it would look like : 2015 Brand (I) ---- (or insert set for that matter). Possbily even Conditiional Format the set name light red or something - you think either would help to signify an incomplete set or no?

I like this. As I delve into another obscure vintage checklist with unidentified teams and sometimes even players, I would love the option of putting TBD in a team name and not feel guilty about it. I can submit checklists that are 95% accurate where none at all existed before. I think that's useful. But it might take many hours to get every detail correct. Not that I'm not going to try first, but I don't want to bother Admin with trying fill this stuff in, and some sort of indicator that we encourage additions and corrections to the truly difficult checklists would be lovely.
My fear is that people might abuse this by putting in checklists that are 5% complete with just the cards they have, for example, write TBD everywhere else, and call it a day. But maybe even that isn't such a bad thing. People would see it, be annoyed by it, and fill in the blanks. So I might lean towards saying that, as long as every card is listed, incomplete checklist submissions might be ok. But I bow to the Admin. Chaos could ensue.

Yes, I can see abuse. We've already had enough members create 1-card checklists to catalogue their personal collections. This would only encourage more abuse. Maybe changing the permission level for direct checklist upload would be required.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I like this idea, too. There are a lot of very obscure international sets that I have added partial checklists for just to get them in the system, but it could take years to complete. Being able to easily find those incomplete checklists again (because I do have a terrible memory) would be very helpful.
But I agree that this would need to be a strictly controlled process to avoid the abuse others have referenced.

And NO - do not put TBD (or TBA) in the Team name! Leave it blank.
Don't verify the Names or Teams in an incomplete set - EVER. Only verify once it's complete.

Exactly what I was thinking Billy,
Any checklist with the special TBA/D entered gets NO POINTS, I would add regardless in that manner, as I already add incomplete Oiler team sets. Plus make it a Level 8 Permissions and up only.
