First, my bottom-line opinion: remove publications from the database.
Currently, we have just the front covers images for each magazine/publication. And we cannot track/catalogue them in our Collections. So, I don't know what purpose they serve. They're basically just photos of athletes.
They're not trading cards. And since we can't catalogue them anyways, there's no harm done if they're removed from the databae. But, if they remain in the database we should be able to track/catalogue them in our Collection.
The reason I've collected certain Beckett's is for the player photo on either the front or back cover. I can put them in a magazine frame and display them. If we are to keep them in the database, I think both the front and back cover image should be listed. And we should be allowed to track/catalogue them.
What constitutes a "hobby publication"? Periodical and annual trading card price guides. Card company magazines such as, Topps Magazine, Pro Set Gazette. But, non-price guide or non-trading card company publications that just happen to include trading cards inserted in them should not be included; e.g., Sports Illustrated for Kids, game programs, comic books.
Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
