Hey everyone/admins
I was checking in to see if anyone else has had any trouble with spam comments on their lists. It looks like my "Astros Autographs" has been hit with a wave of them recently, and it's changing all the links on the page to direct to some watch seller's website.
Is there any way to moderate these comments, and could one of the admins take those off my list? Thanks.

I'm thinking the site needs a much more strict registration validation process. Whatever is in place currently is clearly not stopping fake accounts from being created. I didn't even know you could leave comments on lists (as I have no lists), but it looks like someone managed to post an entire website in there.

In the past 2 days I have seen spam in the forum under the subject of (person). I reported 1 of the accounts yesterday and it was removed. I will check for comments in my lists after this.

Those forum "topics" the other day were just plain weird. It was beyond weird. I couldn't read through it, but it was obviously someone just having a good time at the site's expense.

If we are talking about the same ones, they weren't just having fun. Those long rambling type posts have hidden links in them and they get paid for each one that is clicked. I know because I used to moderate on a forum and they gave us so much trouble.
Seems like the way we it was solved was to have posts by new members checked over and approved for their first 10 posts before they could be seen by regular members. If my experience counts for anything, it'll get a lot worse before it gets better.

I don't see where having the first several posts (3, 5, 10, pick a random number) is a bad thing. We could have several Forum "admins" (trusted from years of solid posting/other activity) who could check a 'holding queue" for those and then be approved.
I can understand where we want to get newbie's legitimate questions answered ASAP (card ID, etc.), so this method would allow for questions to get posted quickly, without bogging any one person down with reviewing them.
I'd also like to see accounts be deleted or blocked if they spam.

I could pick up my activity on the site again to help monitor. Been a while since I've spent the full 12's on the site, (Destiny came out on 360... I've been kind of "preoccupied,") but a window is always open.

Of course, I throw my hat in the ring, too. I may not be on 24x7 (or even 12x7, like Billy!), but I check in often enough and would be willing to monitor new posts.
