When your adding cards to your collection and you go to the checklist of a set, you can see what image is or isn't needed. But it's much easier to go to "collection summary" then "add/update" and do it via there. But it's a pain having to go back and check to see what images are needed. Can what's shown in the checklist also be shown in the add/update?

Exactly. Thanks Vrooomed for helping to clarify. I often dont post as clear as I want.
It seems like a waste of time and server space to upload the same card backs several different times IF there is a way to make one upload work for several parallels.
And it might even get more people willing to upload the fronts if they just have to worry about the fronts vrooomed wrote: Ox is talking backs of cards only. The backs of the red, Red Hot Foil, Green, Yellow, Blue, and base cards (I may have missed a couple) for the 2014 Topps are all exactly the same. The fronts however, are different, and he never said to use those same photos.

Sorry ThemightOx. I guess I need to read the post a little more clearly. I agree it would be great to not have to upload the same back multiple times. Again I apologize.

No need to apologize at all. One of the drawbacks of internet communication is that there is no way you can tell if what you are writing will be clear to the other person until they comment. And I know I sometimes have an issue properly phrasing the thoughts going through my brain. So I totally understand the miscommunication and was happy that someone helped me clarify but also happy that you asked the question so it could be clarified. yokonashiwa wrote: Sorry ThemightOx. Two new features added:
There is now a crop button under cards where you can crop images you've submitted. It is accessible when you turn the editing on. Thanks to bigdawg315 for originally suggesting this feature. Please note that for better results, it's best to resubmit the image and crop the original file. This new crop button should only be used in circumstances where this is not possible.
In the "Inserts and Related Sets" section for sets, you can now add a single insert card or promo card for a set. This will avoid the need to create a whole set for a single card.

In addition to being able to edit card numbers, I'll just go ahead and request the ability to edit set names & dates. This is mainly because of all the errors I'm making as I quickly backfill all the missing Japanese sets, and it would ultimately save the Admin my bombardment of "please fix my mistakes" emails.
I would also like to request an "alias" option for players who go by more than one name, or who might have multiple spellings that are frequently used (loads of Japanese players whose names start with, or end with, the letter 'O', can usually be found both with and without an "H" following the "O". That leds to lots of instances of "Takahiro Saitoh" vs "Takahiro Saito" or "Keiji Ohbiki" vs "Keiji Obiki". There are also instances where Taiwanese players use their actual name in the CPBL, but a modified version of it in Japan, such as Dai-Kang Yang (CPBL) vs Daikan Yoh (NPB) or Tai-Yuan Kuo (CPBL) vs Taigen Kaku (NPB). Somewhere in the background, you've already taken care of a few of these, like Karl Rhodes vs Tuffy Rhodes.
Thanks!

Looks like they just added your last request, Clyde. I now have an option to edit sets. Wasn't there yesterday, I'm sure of that!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

In the list of top 100 sets close to completion, you can now click on a "Collection Check" link to see if you have any of the missing cards in your collection. This report has also been added to your Collection page.
Thanks to switzr1 and yokonashiwa for suggesting this feature. The ability to edit the categorization and total cards field of inserts and related sets has been added to Level 6 permissions as well as a formalized way to unlock levels 7 and 8.

Jinx.
Missing cards from player lists is the biggest problem for me. DaClyde wrote: New feature request: The ability to edit/ammend existing checklists. This would likely be a Level 8 or 9 Admin ability.
In some cases, new errors or variations are found in a set after it has already been submitted. In a case like that, it seems overkill to have to resubmit the entire checklist for posting. In other cases (especially with obscure sets), simply constructing the checklist can be a challenge. In cases like that, it would be helpful to be able to submit, and later update, a partial checklist for a set.
