Admin, Clyde, or anyone else who is cleaning up checklists... What should be done in the case of Promo cards, which more often than not are listed like "NNO Jerry Rice PROMO" with PROMO included as part of Rice's name, rather than as a note? Should those be changed so the name is simply Jerry Rice, and whatever appears after his name be moved to a note, and possible abbreviated? That seems to be the way things are generally done here. Are these promos most likely just copy/paste jobs that ignored our site's naming standards?

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Admin, I was thinking this would be nice: If you could search a college e.g. Notre Dame and then it would come up with all cards of players who played for Notre Dame. It could include a list of all the players ever to play for Notre Dame. Just a thought.

Anything that is not a name should be moved out of the Name field and into either Note (short abbreviations) or Note2 (descriptive text). There are thousands of cards with junk that needs to be remoevd from the Name field. Lots of the data here was copied & pasted in because someone was in a hurry to get the database populated, and the site didn't always have very clear or strict data policies. Zistle and SCF have the same issues.

I'm getting confused about the frequent re-arrangement of sets everytime a new category is introduced. The categories are really starting to overlap. If the Texas Rangers issue a team set of postcards, that's three separate categories it could belong to; team sets, post cards, team issued. And in several cases, a "food" company sponsors a set that is a stadium giveaway team set. That does not belong in the "Food Issue" category because it was not issued with any food product, but does it then go under Team Set or Oddball?
I'm thinking some of these more granular categories would be better implemented as tags, so a set could have multiple tags that could be searched instead of being shuffled back and forth between multiple categories, depending on who is editing the sets on a given day. SCF has this same problem in its Inventory Manager, but that system is built on late 1990s technology. I would love to see TCDB move toward a more modern approach.

I think this is where suggestions are posted; if not, someone steer me to the right place.
For the active roster section for a team, players can be listed on multiple teams. I just added Craig Kimbrel to the Padres list, but he is still on the Braves list as well. It could eliminate a step if a player was automatically removed their former team, when added to a new team.

New Features:
The option to "Add Another" when updating your collection is now available for the For Sale / Trade list. Thanks to HowlingFury for the suggestion.
There is now a report that shows all memorabilia cards in your collection. Thanks to Celticwolfco for the suggestion.
When organizing your collection by set, there are now options to add the cards listed to either your collection or wantlist based on the team filter. Thanks to Charlot and others for suggesting this feature.
In the collection stats, the rankings have been extended passed the top 100. Thanks for switzr1 for suggesting this.
In the Glossary, the headings are now clickable in order to view a list of all sets that contain that particular note. Thanks to holhoa96 for suggesting this feature.

DaClyde,
I am under the impression, perhaps mistakenly, that Team Sets- should only include the 10-40 card sets done by the major manufacturers to be sold in local markets/ballparks. For all intents and purposes, they are parallels to the year's regular set and nothing before perhaps the 1990 Topps TV sets should be categorized as such.

That basically underlines my point of how problematic it is to only be able to include a set in a single category. If we had a tag system instead of single categories, we could apply all of the relevant tags to a set and then there wouldn't be much confusion about exactly where the set belongs. Even by your reasoning, 95% of the minor league sets would belong under Team Sets.
