Hear! Hear! We all have our favorite sports to watch & follow. You couldn't pay me to watch NASCAR, soccer, tennis, etc. But I would never denigrate the fans who do enjoy them. There's always a fine line between a little fun ribbing and outright insulting. And it's hard to convey tone in a written post.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I'm not sure why anyone would waste their time belittling someone else's enjoyment. If you don't like something, ignore it. I don't "get" a lot of the non-sport sets, but I still do own some NS. There are others I don't "get", but I would never denigrate it. My theory is if you enjoy it, great - go for it.

Was adding some cards to my want list today, and had a thought.
As a team collector, I really like the "add all missing cards to want list (team filtered)" option when you're looking at a set. I only tend to do this when I'm adding cards to my collection. I'm more concerned with chasing down base cards and regular inserts than every crazy parallel (though I'll gladly take them on), so I don't want to just go to the team and add all of the cards to my want list. Plus, I hardly expect to get all of the super-short prints.
Anyhow, long story brings me to this: I was on a player's page today, and wanted to quickly add all of his Astros cards to my want list. So I used a filter to find said Astros cards. When I went to "add missing cards to want list" however, it dumped his entire checklist into my want list.
Luckily in this instance it was only ~ 70 cards, and ~ 50 are Houston, so not a huge deal for me to correct. But it'd be really cool to have team filtering on this option, rather than adding cards one by one.

100% agreed with marcbrubaker. I would like the option to add any specific grouping of cards created with various filters, and also to remove by filter. If a person wanted to add Roger Clemens cards, but only as an Astro, that would be awesome. It's easy to bring such a list up on your screen, but you can't add those cards only once you have done so. Additionally, I would like to be able to add ALL Cardinals cards to my wantlist, then REMOVE ones that fit certain criteria that can be determined with filters (i.e. SN1 cards and Minor League cards).

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I have run into the same filtering problem as Marc and would love an update there.
I would love some way to be able to set an alert when a card I want getsadded to someone's for sale/trade list. Not for all cards, but a report/email alert that I can turn on or off for each card would be awesome!
Thanks for all that everyone does on this wonderful site.

That's an interesting thought, dsorek. Theres really no way to tell if a card was added to a trade list yesterday or in 2012. Some cards I want are on trade lists of inactive members, so that would tell me an active member has added it. Good idea!

In the same thought of alerts, I'd love to get a notification when particular members had added something to their trade list that matches my want list or they added something to their want list that matches my trade list.

That would be a great addition to the trade function. As an avid trader i am constantly scanning for new cards on my want list as well as cards i have on other peoples want lists.

As long as I can filter the "alerts" from specific members (those I know who are willing to trade) and to specific cards in my Wantlist (if not, I could be flooded with alerts as a new member enters an extensive for sale / trade list).
