Yes, I use Firefox. I just tried in IE and there's no editor, just a tiny little box to type in.

I too collect these type of cards and it really bothers me when I look at my card count here and then I count how many cards I have physically, but they do not add up. Its hard enough to keep track of my cards that are not listed here. Which is less and less as time goes on thanks to you guys.

One of my favorite bands used clips from "Freaks" in a song (back around 2000). That was where my brain went forst, but I forgot that the movie could be what you were referring to.
For the interested, the band is Marillion, and the song is called "Separated Out", from their album Anoraknophobia.

RanfordFan - when I started in this database, I found this issue with some of the ball cards I was collecting, most noteably the McDonald's 1993 Blue Jays set where many action cards were not linked to players on the card. I pointed this out to Admin and they linked all of the cards right away. Where to draw the line? I drew it at where the player most prominent is also associated with the team associated to the card. For example, one of the cards in the McDonald's set has Mark McGwire running over Pat Borders at the plate. Though I have this card in my McGwire collection, I think it may cross the line to link it to him in this database. It is better linked to Pat Borders.
Having said all of this, I am not an official on this site but I have been able to link many of my cards to the players I collect. Most often, teh card is not yet linked because whoever uploaded the set did not do the link. As well, if there is more than one player on the card and in the description, the links do not automatically happen. An individual has to go to the card on teh database and "Create links". I do this in my spare time iin the sets I collect.
Hope this helps.

I agree, that's
where I draw the
line too, I only
consider it if the
card is an Edmonton
Oiler card, league
highlight card,
etc., if Ranford
happens to be the
goalie on lets say
a Luc Robitaille
card, I don't even
consider it. But
the older cards
that have him in
division,
conference or
Stanley cup
highlight cards I
do add to my
collection ... or
got roped into
doing so over the
years .... lol.
There is a great
example in my
collection, it is
1987-88 OPC sticker
#69 that is a
Action sticker. It
was listed here
when I arrived, was
not on my list I
had previous so
added it and bought
it, but you can
barely even see
him, if anything
the card should
have been listed as
a Murray Craven
card but I assume
it must be part of
the Bruins set in
the album and was
considered his
because of this. I
do not have a ton
of these cards to
add but just the
ability to do so
would be nice. I
really like the
tagging idea
brought up earlier.
But is probably
fairly difficult to
do. But then again
I work with wood!!

Tagging would be helpful for wrestling cards, big time. So many cards are of tag teams and feature two guys. I can't figure a way to get a card of, say, The Steiner Brothers, to link to both guys without changing the name of the card to "Rick Steiner / Scott Steiner" There have been a handful of instances where I have done that to a card, but I don't like doing it. I don't mind when it is done on a League Leaders card that has two baseball players names on the front, but in some instances it seems inappropriate to change the name of the card in the checklist just to get it to link to both players.
I agree 100% with ranfordfan when it comes to not linking background players on a card of a specific player, like his example of Ranford in the background of a Robitaille card. I would probably quit using the site if that started happening. But tagging Bushwhacker Luke and Bushwhacker Butch to a card of The Bushwhackers would be an awesome feature.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
