Hi, i'm from germany, so my english is very bad.
When i goes to "Cards in your collection missing prices on the site" there are many cards that are also priced. Why these cards are displayed there?

I've only been on here for a bit over a month but I would not use prices on this site as an indicator of value. A lot of the prices I see listed are not realistic. You'd love to get them but most people won't pay them.

agreed..I love this site, but the price fields are open so anyone can report a price, from anywhere they choose....so it is just a guideline not anything concrete.

I agree. I would not use this site as a guide for prices. I can tell you I only input a price when I buy or sell a card, but others input prices that they see on any other site without completing a transaction. Therefore, you don't know if that price was actually paid for that card. We only know that price was only the asking price.

I have only inputted a few prices from my sales on Ebay and most are half of what the median price is. Of course, I sell cheap. But I agree with everyone that you cannot use it as a guide. Like in Olympic diving and figure skating where they throw out the "high" and "low" scores, I think at most price guides, you can throw out the "high", the next "high" and the next "high".

I've been using sportslots.com as my price guide, most common cards are about $0.18 each.

The minimum price for any card at Sportlots is 18 cents. Can't sell for lower there (I tried). Good luck selling 1987 Topps commons at 18 cents! :)

Welcome to the site. People on other sports card forums recommend using Ebay's completed auction prices to get a better idea of what cards are selling for.

while I understand that sportlots minimum is .18 and if you factor shipping into the cost much higher...entering .18 for a junk era common that should be .05 can really affect a trade of 50 or more of such cards...
