Yes, you are incorrect for doing that. Topps doesn't go back and remove the RC tag for their parallels. So even the printing plates would have the RC logo, but that doesn't mean they are considered RCs. So, pink refractors, x-fractors, and any other fractor are not RCs - only the base cards are RCs.

To answer Ranford's question, yes, there are instances where base sets add something like a AU or some MEM to the rookies in the set. I consider it a rookie card if it's his only card in the base set. Panini has done this in football. I think There are Finest sets like this too. I'm not final authority on this, but I believe that is the consensus.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Actually the subset thing is quite common in baseball. Dozens of major stars were on 2-, 3-, or 4-player Prospects or Future Stars cards, and those are always categorized as an RC, unless it's a guy who got put on those In multiple years, which happened a few times. Then , only the first year is their rookie card, though the second year may be the first year for everyone else on the card, so it could still be a rookie card. Fleer also did 2-player rookie cards for several years. The 1985 Olympic subset with McGwire comes to mind as well.
Billy Kingsley wrote: That is how it's done Mitch. Subsets are generally not considered RC...except when the subset is the ONLY card of that player in set (not unheard of, but not in Ultra that year if I recall.)

No worries, wweluver, you weren't the one who keep undoing my work. :) Your help is greatly appreciated. I see the stuff you do and you've been adding to the site nicely.
I know that most everyone here truly means well (I'm sure there's 1 hot head out there, not confirmed).
Thanks!

I don't think you've intentionally gone back and knowingly incorrectly tagged cards after someone untagged them properly. Or have you?

I don't think I have either. I guess I'm not the hot head in question. And neither are the wrestlers in the picture. The arrow was supposed to point at my name, not Brandon Aarons' crotch!
