If you would like to ask Admin to consider allowing tags for the Indoor Soccer Hall of Fame as well, use the "Contact Us" link under "General Info" at the bottom of the page, select the appropriate category, and send a message to the site with your reasoning. It is up to Admin to decide if he wants to branch out into other HOFs.

Thanks I sent a Request in. I feel it is important for the American History of Soccer as well as it is important to know our countries history and who helped paved the way

That's exactly what the National Soccer Hall of Fame does. The Hall of Fame was founded in 1950 by the Philadelphia "Old-timers" Association, a group of former professional and amateur soccer players that wanted to recognize the achievements of soccer in America.

From NSHF eligibility:

A player must have played at least five seasons in the Major Indoor Soccer League between the end of the NASL in 1984 and the end of the MISL in 1992 and been selected as a first-team postseason all-star in at least one of those seasons

My thinking there is two kinds of Racing HOF here and in a way There is two different ways the sport was played. So I don't see why it can't hurt to have the niche here and add to the database of information that is useful.

There are also a billion local HOFs as well as state and regional ones. Some discretion needs to be exercised when tagging people as HOFers.

There's certainly no harm in asking, as you did. That's really the only way to determine something one way or another - after all, it's Admin's site, and his rules.

Don't be surprised if he comes back and says no, however. As Dan noted, there's a line that has to be drawn somewhere, just as there is with collectibles. In the past, the stance has kinda been that this is a trading card database, not a sports reference website - so while some reference items are intertwined with collecting (for example, players born in a certain state, or members of a Hall of Fame), not all things are necessary to enhance the appeal to trading card collectors. 

I remember discussions in the past that revolved around having player uniform numbers displayed on their page (similar to Baseball Reference), draft year, teams played for, and I think another one that had to do with colleges that are listed on player pages (what if they didn't play sports, only got honorary degrees, etc.). What it boiled down to in the end was that this is a card database, and we leave a lot of the reference stuff to other sites while focusing only on the identifying and common bio information.

That's not to say that things haven't changed over time. And like a lot of things, there are people on both sides of the fence on the thought of adding more information to PIDs. Some share the view of not being a reference website, while others feel that the more information we have, the better off the site is. Personally, it doesn't affect me either way - what Admin says, goes, and I'm fine with that when it comes to this topic. Just want you to know why you're getting some of the feedback and why it's possible Admin may say "no".

To me, playing 5 years in an 8 year window of a league that existed for 14 years seems like something we don't need to designate on this card website.  

Agree. The indoor league had a short lifespan and no longer exists.  And the current National Soccer HOF already includes them.
