Subject in uniform for team they never played for

1994 Studio has an insert set called Heritage, I have the Barry Bonds card that shows him in a 1905 NY Giants uniform (posed, not playing, if that matters). The front of the card just lists "Giants", the back of the card talks about the 1905 NY Giants. I know the rule of thumb is list the team name listed on the card, what's the concensus on this situation? Thanks! JW

The NBA has also had players wearing throwback uniforms to past teams, either a former team from that city or a former location for the team. They get listed (when I post them) as the current team.
