Was looking over the Close to Completion scans needed page and wonder if some of the owners of the cards missings fronts, backs or both scans could take the time out of their busy schedules to track down these cards and upload the scans to close out these close to completion sets?
I am working on my sets and cards to check to see if any scans are needed. Some of the sets that are over 97% complete have many members who have these cards on hand.
Thanks for all the help.

I know that in some cases there are reasons why only one side gets added:
1) Somebody uploaded one back for multiple cards, For example, I see it a lot with Topps paralells where they use the same back from the base for all of the non-SN parallels. I disagree with this method personally, but that's probably just my own personal hangup.
2) The front (or back) of the card is signed but it originally wasn't. I have a couple of minor league cards in a set I'm working with right now where somebody went out and got two of the cards signed by the players. The backs are still fine, so I will likely scan the backs and add them but I can't do the fronts because they have been altered.
Now, anybody that just does one but not the other for a perfectly scannable card... I got nuthin

Turning off trading because my collection is in complete disarray after moving and I don't know when I can get it organized.

Agreed, but it would be nice if there is a set with 95% of the cards scanned and uploaded but the missing 5% have people on the site that own the cards but have not taken the time to upload a scan of the cards. Just trying to make this a better site.

On some of the less expensive cards on these checklists, I have actrually purchased them, even though I don't necessarily collect that player or team . Of course, it is an expensive variation of a base card - not going to do it.

My time recently was extremely limited, so I was not scanning much (if any). I did just complete the 1987 Fleer Glossy set (baseball). I like working on some of our player collections. I think it's cool to see that a player goes from like 40% scanned to 95%. :) And it's cool to see me as the top contributor to that player's images on the site. (See Darren Daulton [baseball] and now Shawn Burr [hockey] for my examples!)

I will admit that I could probaly help here, except for 2 minor issues.......I dont have a scanner and am not real tech savy. Perhaps this is something I could work on in 2017, as I also need to replace my computer..........Any recommendations for a scanner ?

Not sure how many if any of them I have, but I have a lot of other cards I would like to upload that are missing from the DB.
Major hold up for me is I can't have my scanner hooked up all the time, space issues, among other reasons. Also not very good at cropping, I need more practice but can't get that unless I scan more. Vicious cycle of one problem causing another one.

Colorblind. So I can't tell if my scans look good or not. But I always assume that they don't. And with all the recent complaints about scans looking bad (whether mine or someone else's) I've just lost interest in scanning. I'm not gonna devote hours of my free time to do something voluntarily, only to have someone call me "lazy" in the forums. (Wasn't said about me in that instance, but could have been). I still scan a card from time to time, but I no longer keep a pile of cards that need scanned like I used to. In fact, I recently deleted hundreds of images I had scanned but not cropped and uploaded yet.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
