I just recently uploaded my first card image to the database. I noticed that it has gone down into the "queue" and will be put on the site at the next site update.
Could someone clarify a bit more what the process is and how often the site does the updates?
Thanks!

Unitl you go through the permissions and show proficiency, the scans go into a que. The Permssion levels are at the bottom of the page under "account". simple explanations and test to become a rock star on here

Well, I'm not nearly as expert as some, but if you're new to uploading, the scan won't officially make the website until someone with more experience has cropped it and ok'd it.
It's possible you can do that yourself. Worth trying. At some point, you reach a level where you can scan, crop, and approve all in one fell swoop. I'm there. If only I'd get some more cards the database needs scans of....

I have all the permissions up to "Image Processing". There isn't a test for that one. It just says that submitted images will be reviewed and access will be granted if they show that they are within guidelines. Was curious how long the review process normally takes.
I uploaded the back of the Reggie Miller Slick Silver 95-96 Ultra card to complete the images for that set.

Woops meant 95-96 Metal. Well, it actually seems to have uploaded now so it looks like someone must have reviewed it.
Thanks for the replies!

I'm curious about that too. I tried submitting a few sample scans on Sunday and am waiting for them to either get accepted or rejected but instead they have just been sitting there all week.
I could probably start adding thousands more once the snow comes and I enter winter hibernation mode, but would like to get some confirmation that the resolution is acceptable, etc. from a smaller sample size first.

After have uploaded a certain number of scans that are approved and added your permissions for image processing will be available. I"m not sure what the magic number is....it just happens.

From what I know, there is no magic number. It is truly a matter of consistency. Continue to upload only good, big, properly cropped & oriented, and straight scans, and you'll get the access. Usually takes a few days of consistent uploads. All these submissions are very much appreciated!

While still on the subject of scanning, does anyone know if copyright issues have ever arisen from the many thousands of images reproduced here? I would reasonably assume that the major card manufacturers like Topps, Panini, and Upper Deck are okay with the site or else they would have taken action already. But I don't know that the same thing should necessarily be assumed across the board for all smaller labels. Has the site ever been asked to remove content?
I had hoped to add scans for a non-sport (comic book) set that I recently added the checklist for, but I wouldn't do it without getting permission from the property's creators first and they said no.
