I have an older computer, which runs on Microsoft Vista. Laugh all you want, whatever. This is the computer I have, and it likely won't be changing anytime soon. For the last several months, adding cards has been taking FOREVER, in large part because the loading times of the pictures and the drop-menu boxes beside each check-box on the checklists are so incredibly slow to load. It's really the main reason my collection is getting added at such a slow pace. It's the reason I hate adding cards altogether. Everything else I did on the site was fast. Uploading scans. Card battles. Name validation. All of that. But the checklists were taking forever because of those drop-boxes. Well, just now I had the bright idea of changing browsers. I've been on Firefox a couple years now, I guess. Opened up IE. Logged into this site. It's like night and day. This is the old speed I was used to in the past. Now my 2017 Goal of getting all my cards in by opening day seems a LOT more realistic. This makes me actually want to work on my collection again! I'll still use Firefox for everything else, but it's IE for my TCDB work, and a 100% collection seems like a reasonable goal again!!!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Google Chrome no longer supports Vista. I looked into that a couple weeks ago and it wasn't an option for me.

I know exactly what you mean David. Until July 2016, I was using a laptop running Windows XP. I had to switch from IE to Firefox in 2015 b/c IE8 was the newest update XP could run and Chrome wasn't an option. Firefox was faster than IE8. Then I HAD to get a new computer over the summer. My current laptop runs Windows 10. Even though I didn't want to upgrade from XP, it's been great for working on this site. It doesn't matter what browser I use now. They all work excellent, but I stick with Firefox b/c I got so used to it. GL adding your collection on here even faster now! :)

I use IE most of the time, I do sometimes use Chrome when IE gets a certificate glitch. I have asked Admin about it and it seems to be ob my end not theirs. But my computer works fine with either, the habit creature in me always clicks of the swooping E for some reason LOL

I guess I should mention that I already do pay for the ad-free. Been doing that a couple years now I think. It made a huge difference, but then something a few months back significantly slowed me down. I probably installed a bad update to something or added an add-on or something I was completely unaware of. But switching back to IE really helped. However, I can't get a higher version than IE9 because of Vista. Maybe that's why I switched to Firefox in the first place. I don't even remember now.

I use firefox and have no issues with it. Speedy as heck. A lot depends on what else you have laying around your system to bog different things down.

I guess I'll chime in. I use Firefox and Chrome on Windows 7. But Chrome is so much slower overall.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
