I have a number of John Olerud cards that don't seem to be listed in the database. One example is the 1989 Washington State University Team Issue. I added the set to the database, but now it seems that I have to enter the entire checklist or nothing at all.

I haven't been able to find a complete checklist anywhere online, but I have the Olerud scanned and ready to post. Can I add just one card, or do I need the whole set checklist?

We prefer entire sets being entered because:

1. It's better to have all cards listed instead of 1 or 2
2. If a partial checklist is entered, the set no longer appears on the "Missing Checklist" report, so no one will know to even look for it.

I have several items here that either "don't fit" here or we don't have the full checklist. We'll get there eventually.

OK, gotcha.

So I guess if I come across a card that's not in the database, I should still enter the set even though I can't enter my card. That way it'll be flagged as "missing checklist" and maybe down the road someone will be able to enter a complete checklist. Is this correct?

Yes sir that is correct, avsbruins is doing that for hockey sets, if we can get all the sets listed it will motivate people to find the checklists. I have been going along behind him and adding the checklists that I find for my collections. I also add the card totals.

On some of the rarer sets, where information is simply not possible to be found with any ease, but we know how many cards there were, TBA is also used. Eventually, in theory, the missing information can be found and entered. It's not ideal but there are some sets so obscure it's the only way to do it.
