We have recently witnessed some very generous ideas. It got me thinking about trading lots...lot for lot without a lot [no pun] of fanfare. THERE has to be members that would love to get @ 600 cards or more of a set they have none or very little of, me included. I have a lot of older cards, including junk wax, but collectors still want them. Meanwhile, my collection can be refreshed with some post 2000 cards, that I am lackin.
Here is my proposal, to you and ADMIN, if we can set a link to ei "Lots for Trade". Members can set up ei.100-800 ct lots, year and maker included. Theses "Lots for Trade" can be viewed by all of us. And adding them to the Watch Alert would be even better.
OK. ei. I would like 2013 Heritage Cards [trying to build or fillin a set.] A nice 500ct lot would be great. Extras could be passed on, remake a smaller lot and relist or whatever. Meanwhile, another member has plenty of these Heritage cards but would like 500 1986 Topps. Bingo, quick trade. Postage paid by seller.
I'm sure some of you are thinking, doesn't our Transaction page do that? yes and no, this idea is a quick exchange of lots, no numbers, names, teams etc. unless you want to post something like, 100 St.L Cardinal lot, Topps 1980-1985 or 100 Don Mattinglys as an example. Also, we would need to be aware of not loading up a lot with 25 "Joe Average" cards
I know I have cards to thin out, why sit in a dupe box? when you can use them. And I can get cards I need as well.
Another idea to think about, I kinda like it. ~BOB~
